A Long Night

by Matt Elliott & Debra Schultz

"A Long Night” is the story of a family harboring relationship-ending secrets and other truths they've hidden from each other. But when unexpected visitors arrive on Christmas Eve, the façade begins to crack… and what spills out is anything but festive.

This gripping psychological horror play explores the terrifying cost of silence, the wrenching consequences of greed, and the perverse danger of trust. Twisted, intense, and darkly compelling, "A Long Night" is not your usual feel-good Christmas play—it’s a chilling story that will stay with you long after the lights go down.

Cone Man Running Productions Presents
From the novel by Harper Lee

To Kill a Mockingbird

Adapted by Christopher Sergel

Directed by Christine Weems

July 11–26, 2025 • Studio 101, Spring Street Studios, Houston, TX

Cone Man Running Productions proudly presents the poignant and powerful stage adaptation of To Kill a Mockingbird, running July 11 through 26, 2025, at Studio 101 in Spring Street Studios.Directed by Christine Weems, this production features a cast composed entirely of members of Houston’s legal community—including judges, attorneys, law students, and clerks—along with some of their children, bringing Harper Lee’s enduring story to life with a unique and personal perspective.

Adapted from the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, To Kill a Mockingbird opens in a sleepy Alabama town in the midst of the Great Depression, where Scout and her brother, Jem, live with their widowed father, Atticus Finch. Reminiscent of a bygone era, the play immerses us in a simpler time as the children play outside in the summer, act out stories, and muse about their mysterious neighbor, Boo Radley. The facade of the seemingly peaceful town begins to crack when a young Black man is accused of a terrible crime. Driven by an unshakeable moral conviction, local lawyer Atticus defends the man in a trial that sends violent waves through the community. Timeless and lingering, this hard-hitting work explores prejudice, compassion, and the courage to do what is right.

CLE Credit - Lawyers are eligible to receive two (2) hours of ethics Texas CLE credit for attending this production.

Warning: This play contains offensize language, graphic content and violence. There will be no script alteration from the original content.
